Health, Harmony and Horticulture

The Mondo Loco Permaculture Project, part of the Mondo Loco Foundation, is a social enterprise that aims to provide a community-focused space for environmental education, permaculture practice, sustainable development, food growing and community engagement. This regenerative program will be subsided by the production of mushrooms, organic vegetables, willow for crafts, wood fuel and homemade food products which will be prepared on site.

The project will be developed under the ethical principles of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share following the twelve permaculture principles:

1) Observe and Interact

2) Catch and Store Energy

3) Obtain a Yield

4) Apply Self-regulation and Accept Feedback

5) Use and Value Renewable Resources and Services

6) Produce No Waste

7) Design from Patterns to Details

8) Integrate Rather than Segregate

9) Use Slow and Small Solutions

10) Use and Value Diversity

11) Use Edges and Value the Marginal

12) Creatively Use and Respond to Change

What is Permaculture?
